Chapter 237
Brian wouldn't let Ariana get her way so easily.
“Brian, Ms. Torrey has made her position clear. Let's not force her,” Belinda said coolly, clearly wanting to sever
ties completely. “Since Ms. Torrey wants to focus on her stilles, arrange for her to rent a place near Glea College
so she can recover in peace.”
“Grandma, she...”
“That's enough! That's what we’ll do.”
Belinda had the final say in the Lodge family. She looked at Martha and said, “Martha, go gather Ms. Torrey’s

“Yes, Madam...”
Martha glanced at Brian with a troubled expression.
Brian said, “Grandma, it’s already late. Ariana is hurt and can’t just be sent out like this. Tomorrow morning, I'll
have Emily find a suitable place. Then Ariana can move.”
Belinda didn’t really want Ariana to stay here at all. Yet, seeing her injuries, kicking her out immediately would
look heartless. She gave a mild nod.
“Ms. Torrey, please chere. | have a word for you.”
Belinda moved to sit on a couch that was as far from Ariana as possible.
Ariana was injured and had lost her crutch. She could barely walk a few steps without pain, but there was no way
she would ask Brian for help. She had to hobble along, gritting her teeth as she went.
Brian watched her struggle, frowning slightly. Each step made her break out in a sweat from the pain. Finally, he
stepped forward and offered her his arm.
Seeing this, Ariana frowned and tried to shake him off but didn’t get the chance.
Belinda observed them but kept her opinions to herself for now.
When Ariana reached Belinda, Brian pulled out a chair for her. “Sit ”

Ariana hesitated. She glanced at Belinda, who was calmly sipping tea. She decided not to sit.
After all, offending Belinda was even more terrifying than offending Brian.
Seeing she refused, Brian simply forced her into the seat. The rough motion jolted her sore wounds, making her
gasp.
Belinda frowned and put down her tea. “Ms. Torrey, I've already chosen a new fiancée for Brian. It's inappropriate
for you to stay here. | hope you understand.”
Brian's face darkened at the mention of a new fiancée. “Grandma, | never said | was ready to get married.”
“You don’t have a say in this,” Belinda said flatly. “I've already spoken with Ms. Quinlan. The Quinlan family may
not be top-tier, but their reputation is solid. Ms. Quinlan is elegant and well-mannered, and most importantly,
she has a kind nature. I've arranged for you to meet her tomorrow, so make sure you're ready,”
Ariana wasn't the least bit surprised. Elise Quinlan was the perfect example of a refined and pampered woman
from a wealthy family.
