Chapter 353
Stuck with no way out, the most brilliant move was to fight back head-on.
Since she was still somewhat beneficial to them, they would need more tto get rid of her. Even though
successfully pulling off a counterattack seemed like a long shot, it might give her extra tand keep her from
humiliating situations.
Besides, in all that disorder, it was pretty unlikely that anyone sensible would risk shooting quickly and
accidentally hitting their own people, which made her a bit safer.
Milly appeared to surrender, slowly removing her coat.
Luckily, it was autumn, and she still had her coat on. It would have been a disaster if she had worn only one
layer.
The onlookers collectively gasped at the sight, their eager eyes glued to her, impatient for her to continue
undressing.
Milly's fingers moved steadily to the first button on her shirt, carefully unfastening it. The atmosphere grew
heavier with anticipation.
As her fingers moved to the second button, everyone's eyes were on her, filled with desire.
With a teasing smile, Milly exuded a blend of flirtatiousness and innocence, like a nymph lost in the human
world.
At that moment, everyone let their guard down, seven lowering their weapons, focusing solely on her ...
Want to see her dance? Not a chance!
Just as Milly's fingers paused on the button, she swiftly turned, dodging to the side. Before anyone could react,
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtshe had grabbed a pistol, loaded it, and aimed it at the nearest henchman’s temple...
She had performed a series of quick, decisive movements in mere seconds.
“Wow, this lady is fearless!”
“Grab her. We can't let her get away!”
“Hold up, think it through! She's with Monkey!”
Monkey?
In the rush of it all, it slipped her mind that the person she snatched was someone she knew from before.
Great, this was her chance to settle both old and new beef.
With her gun aimed at Monkey's head, Milly threatened, “Any closer, and I'm taking your friend out!”
Silence took over the room, everyone too scared to move or make a noise.
Milly couldn’t help but smile.
There was something about making threats that gave her a rush.
Keeping Monkey in check, Milly moved towards Raiden and Nimbus. She might have looked the same, but
something more fierce and commanding about her now made her seem even more formidable than them as if
she were the ultimate rebel.
Raiden’s face turned serious, clearly irritated, “Looks like you're really the Shadow Palace Master's gal, getting
by our defences that smoothly!”
Milly sat down across from them, casually crossing her legs on the coffee table with a gun in her grasp. She was
holding Monkey like it was no big deal, all while sporting a satisfied grin. “You dropped your guard, Mr. Raiden!”
Raiden squinted at her. “What makes you think | won't just take you out with your little friend there?”
Milly's grin didn’t fade. “Con, you're smarter than that. | snagged him to skip out on a tedious dance-off.”
Raiden looked unconvinced. “Is it really just about that?”
Milly nodded like it was the most obvious thing. “Absolutely!”
But clearly, it was never that simple.
She knew she needed a car to leave, but there was always the risk of there being a bomb in their car.
Plus, she was currently only dealing with a minor henchman.
It'd be easy for them to ditch him if it meant catching her - a loss she couldn't afford.
So, it made more sense to ask for
something simple to avoid any rash actions on their part.
And importantly, if Jordan didn’t see her get up at dawn, he'd definitely get suspicious and clooking to save
her!
Suddenly, Raiden chuckled sarcastically, “What if | say no?”
Milly raised an eyebrow, aiming the gun once more at the henchman’s temple, and countered, “Aren’t you
worried | might pull the trigger?”
Raiden chuckled, lounging back on the sofa with lazy crossed legs, eyeing her with interest. “I'll give you credit-
you've got guts. If you weren't that ugly duckling’s girl, I might consider keeping you around.”
His demeanour...

Milly couldn’t shake a sense of unease creeping over her.
Something felt off about their expressions!
Then, Raiden dropped a bombshell, “Unfortunately, kiddo, did you not notice his gun’s empty?”
No...
Empty ... 77?
Milly's heart skipped a beat, but she stayed composed. “You really expectto believe that?”
Raiden tilted his head, casually saying, “Go ahead, try it.
“Do you really believe we're naive enough to just stand by and watch a pretty girl dance while we leave our
dinner host on the ground? That gun was just a trick to draw you out, to check if you were the one we were
looking for. Looks like we were right, given those remarkable skills of yours!”
Milly's face lost its colour.
From the get-go, their plan wasn’t just for fun - they were testing her!
The strip dance was just a means to an end; their real aim was to stir the pot and see what she was made of!
She totally walked into their setup!
It makes sense now why Raiden and Nimbus didn’t bat an eyelid when she caught Monkey earlier. Raiden was
chill, and Nimbus was coolly watching her from the couch.
It looked like this crew had everything planned out.
But did they think she would sit there and let things happen? Haha, that’s just silly!
Milly squinted, grabbed Monkey, placed the gun in its mouth, quickly stood up, and went on the offensive against
Raiden before the rest could close in on her.
