Chapter 269 Married Life After dinner, Theo walked Sierra to the bedroom.
"I have a video conference later, so I might be up late. You should go ahead and rest," he said.
Sierra nodded obediently, secretly relieved.
It was their first night sharing a bed, and if they had to spend the entire evening together in the sroom, she couldn't even imagine how awkward it would be.
Once Theo left, she grabbed her pajamas and slipped into the bathroom.
Noticing his toothbrush and razor on the sink, she carefully placed her own toiletries beside them.

Through the gap, she saw him listening intently to a report, occasionally interjecting with sharp, precise questions.
At that moment, she finally grasped why people said, "A man is most attractive when he's deeply focused on his work".
The way Theo strategized and commanded the conversation added a compelling edge to his already striking presence.
Sierra lingered for a moment but chose not to disturb him, quietly turning away. Engrossed in his work, he never noticed her presence. His cold, authoritative tone kept his subordinates on edge through the screen.

Understood," Adrian replied, though he couldn't help but wonder why his workload had suddenly increased. Still, for the sake of his generous salary and bonuses, he had no choice but to comply.
Ending the call, Theo stretched his stiff neck before rising to his feet. As he stepped out of his study, his gaze fell on the warm glow spilling from the bedroom.
And just like that, the exhaustion weighing on him seemed to fade away.
Theo had planned to finish work early and spend more twith Sierra, but an unexpected issue had kept him occupied late into the night.
By the the finally returned to the bedroom, Sierra was already fast asleep. His steps instinctively softened as he approached.
After washing up, he sat at the edge of the bed, his damp hair slightly tousled. His gaze lingered on her peaceful face for a long moment before he reached out and switched off the light.
Having someone beside him felt unfamiliar, and for a while, sleep eluded him.
In the quiet darkness, he turned onto his side, his fingers brushing lightly against Sierra's delicate cheek. The sensation was intoxicating-so much so that he couldn't resist tracing her skin a few more times.
Only when she let out a soft, sleepy whimper in protest did he finally withdraw his hand. Sliding his arm carefully under her neck, he pulled her close.
"Mrs. Gray, I look forward to our future together," he murmured, pressing a featherlight kiss to her forehead. Sierra frowned ever so slightly, nuzzling her head against his chest as she adjusted herself into a more comfortable position.
Theo rested his chin gently on her head, his eyes finally drifting closed.
The next morning, golden sunlight streamed through the curtains, casting a soft glow over the bed.
Sierra's long lashes fluttered as she slowly woke up. Instinctively, she stretched her arms-only to feel her hand meet something firm and warm.
She turned her head in shock, letting out a scream.

A low groan escaped Theo's lips as his brows furrowed slightly, his eyelids fluttering open.
Before Sierra could react, his arm extended, effortlessly pulling her back into his embrace.
"Did you sleep well? Do you want to rest a little longer?" His deep, husky morning voice murmured against her ear, his warm breath sending a shiver down her spine.
Sierra's eyes widened in alarm, her head pressed against his chest as her breath becerratic.
For a moment, she was too stunned to respond.
