Chapter 294 Scandal Theo's hand paused as he adjusted his hair, his eyes flickering slightly. "Mm, it was a little hot." Sierra glanced around and even lifted her hand to feel the air. She didn't sense any warmth, so she looked at him strangely.

After parting ways with Daniel and the others, Douglas got dragged into another round of drinking with sof his usual party friends. By the the stumbled home, it was already past 2:00 am.

"Shit. Who the hell is calling at this hour?" Cursing under his breath, he fumbled around for his phone, not even bothering to open his eyes.

After struggling to swipe at the screen for what felt like ages, he finally managed to answer in a voice laced with irritation. "Hello? Who is this?" The person on the other end seemed caught off guard by his annoyed tone. There was a brief silence before a soft voice spoke. "Douglas, did I wake you?" At that familiar voice, Douglas' eyes snapped open. He forced himself to sit up, bringing the phone closer to his face. "Melody? I thought it was sprank call." In a foreign country, Melody walked along the street with books clutched in her arms. Her expression was calm and distant as she chuckled lightly at his words. "I forgot about the tdifference. I didn't realize it was so late there." Still feeling dizzy, Douglas rubbed his temples as he replied, "It's fine. You can callanytyou want. I'll always pick up." Melody fell silent again. A hint of disappointment flashed across his face after not getting her response for stime.

"Douglas, I have good news for you. I've decided to cback home." A moment later, Melody's voice cthrough again.

He immediately perked up with excitement in his voice. "Really? When? I'll cpick you up!" "I need to wrap things up here first, so probably in about two or three months." She thought for a moment before giving an estimate.

Though he wished it was sooner, he was still overjoyed, his face full of anticipation.

"Letknow as soon as you book your flight. I'll cpick you up and throw you a welcparty." Melody softly agreed. Then, she hesitated before asking the question in her mind. "Douglas... have you seen Theo lately?" Douglas' smile stiffened, and bitterness creeped into his eyes.

"How... How is he?" Melody's gaze flickered, a determined glint in her expression.

With alcohol fueling his emotions, Douglas' underlying disappointment and jealousy intensified. Without thinking, he blurted out, "He has a girlfriend now." After a long pause, he lifted a hand and smacked himself as if trying to snap himself out of it. With a hint of desperation, he tried to reason with her. "Melody, Theo already has someone. Maybe... Maybe it's tyou moved on." On the other end, Melody's breath hitched slightly as she said in a trembling voice, "I'll be back as soon as I can." Beep beep beep...

He collapsed back onto the bed, tossing his phone aside with a self-mocking smile. "You know he doesn't love you... so why won't you ever look at me?"

Sierra had no idea that Theo's childhood sweetheart was planning to return. She continued her daily routine, going to school and practicing the piano with Jemima.

However, the moment she arrived on m campus today, she immediately sensed something was was off. The way her Classmates glanced at her was weird, which made an uneasy feeling creep into her chest. "Is that her?" "I can't believe Queen of the Keys would do something like this." "She's really pretty, but what she did is disgusting." As she walked down the halls, whispers followed her.

She was completely confused. It wasn't until she arrived at the piano room that she ran into Danice. Normally, Janice would roll her eyes at her, but this time, she walked right up with a smirk. "Hey, Sierra, just so you know, this scandal isn't my doing." Sierra frowned in confusion. "Scandal? What scandal?"
