Chapter 416 Bad Impression Everyone remained silent as they looked at Sierra with disgust, ready to fight back for Lauren's sake.

Sierra watched how unreasonable they were and laughed in anger. "Why should I apologize? You should think about apologizing to the Gray family instead." Noticing Lauren's confused expression, she patiently explained, "It's fine if you want to spread rumors about Benson and Theo. However, Mr. Gray Senior isn't someone whom you can spread such rumors about. Once I return, I'll repeat what you've just said to him, word for word." Tessa and their group of friends flinched, and their expressions fell. Lauren's face was still smeared with whipped cream, and her complexion quickly paled.

She felt anxious, but she did not know what to do.

She had spoken earlier without thinking and accidentally mentioned Edward's nin the process. Having always known that Edward would never do something like that, she had merely wanted to disgust Sierra.

"I-I didn't say such things! I didn't even say anything. I'm warning you, don't spread nonsense. Otherwise, I'll make you regret it." Lauren glared at Sierra but didn't dare to continue finding fault with her.

Even the apology that she had just demanded also slipped out of her mind.

"My dress is stained. I'll go and change my clothes." She pulled her stained dress in disgust and quickly left in her high heels.

With Lauren gone, the rest of the group no longer had any reason to stay, so they quickly turned to Tessa.

Tessa was terrified Sierra would continue to mention them spreading rumors about Edward, so she could lead the group away unwillingly.

Now that they were gone, Sierra glanced at the dirty floor and waved for an attendant to clean the mess up. Then, she looked for another place to sit.

Subtly rotating her aching ankle, she rubbed her stomach, pouting. "I didn't even get to finish my cakes before arguing with them. I'm much hungrier than before." Suddenly, a young woman in a white baby-doll dress walked up to her with a complicated expression.

Sierra returned the glance. Upon confirming that she really had no idea who this woman was, Sierra turned away. Looking at the time, she wondered when the banquet would end.

Despite being ignored, the young woman did not leave. Instead, she sat beside Sierra and curiously asked, "Are you Sierra Shaw?" Watching the woman inch closer toward her, Sierra felt that she looked quite familiar, as if they had met before. However, judging from the woman's tone, they probably did not know each other.

"That's me," Sierra admitted before questioning the woman's motive. "Is something the matter?" The woman touched her own face and smiled bitterly. "We do look slightly alike. It's no wonder Benson mistookfor you." Benson? Sierra froze before carefully studying the woman before her. She quickly realized that the woman did look like her, but the resemblance wasn't striking enough for someone to mistake the two of them.

More importantly, the way they carried themselves was completely different. The way the woman carried herself was much more similar to how Sophie carried herself.

Sierra did not know what relationship the woman had with Benson, but she did not ask either. Instead, she got up to look for something to eat, pretending to ignore the lingering gaze behind her. On the other side of the banquet, Melody had caught wind that Lauren had dirtied her dress. She excused herself from Douglas' side and went upstairs.

As the hostess, she had prepared multiple gowns in advance.

Once she found a dress that suited Lauren, she went in, asking, "How did you end up dirtying your dress?" N That's so careless of you. If someone you liked saw you, you'd end up leaving a bad impression on them."

Lauren was filled with anger. She was wearing a robe, and her hair was still was still dripping with water. After taking the dress, her eyes flashed with displeasure as she looked at her pink dress pitifully. Then, she complained, "It's all Sierra's fault. We could have just talked it out, but she decided to throw something instead. She's so uncivilized. I really don't understand why Mr. Gray agreed to marry her."
