Chapter 296 Although William hadn't said a word, Fern could see it he was genuinely smitten this time.
Mr. Grayson-usually so poised and unapproachable-was finally willing to cdown from his pedestal and get his hands dirty.
Fern couldn't help but wonder what William would even look like in love.
Lost in thought, Fern strolled cheerfully toward the hotel doors. But just a few steps later, his expression changed in an instant.
Right outside the entrance, he spotted Serena being pulled toward a Rolls-Royce by a man who, if possible, was even better looking than himself.
That guy... Why did he look so familiar? It took Fern a moment to place him.
Aaron.
The wealthiest man in Alderburg.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtNot only that, he was the youngest self-made billionaire in the country.
Three years ago, after William's legs were crippled in a car accident, his two half-brothers had been circling like sharks, desperate to snatch the "youngest billionaire" title for themselves.
But no one had expected Aaron to appear out of nowhere.
After all, the youngest tycoons were usually born from the cutthroat world of cities like New York, London, or Paris.
Who would have guessed, that year, the title would go to a guy from quiet old Alderburg? And for three years running, it had been Aaron.
But what Fern couldn't figure out was-how in the world did the girl William had fallen for get mixed up with Aaron? He silently mouthed Serena's name, then, struck by a sudden realization, looked up in disbelief toward the Rolls- Royce.
But the car was already gone.
Even so, Fern stood frozen, stunned to his core.
He'd seen a lot in his day, but he couldn't help shouting, at least in his head.
Damn! William had fallen for Aaron's biggest admirer! In the car- Serena tried everything she could to pull her hands free, but Aaron's grip was unbreakable.
She felt like a fish caught on a hook, powerless no matter how hard she struggled. Aaron's hold was suffocating, and the sense of hopelessness finally pushed Serena rel.n over the edge.
She threw herself against him in desperation.
But Aaron was ready for her. He calmly pressed a hand to her forehead, holding her at bay.
Infuriated, Serena could only glare at him, her forehead pressed helplessly against his palm as she fumed.
After a long, fruitless struggle, Serena was completely spent.
Aaron, on the other hand, looked as calm as ever, and spoke in acool, detached voice. "Are you finished?" Serena could barely muster the energy to roll her eyes at him. "Aaron, you really are unbelievable."
She'd barely stepped out of the bar when Aaron showed up-expression cold as stone, informing her, like it Ve was an order, that she would have to reshoot the program, and that Cynthia Lynwood had to win first place. Serena nearly laughed out of disbelief.
She turned to walk away without a word.

She was so angry she could've bitten a chunk out of him.
"It's just a first-place trophy. Why are you making such a big deaCout of it?" Aaron still hadn't let go of her wrist, his brows furrowed with frustration.
"If it's not so important, then why does Cynthia care so much? Why is she so desperate forto hand over the win?" Serena shot back, her tone icy. A vein throbbed on Aaron's forehead.
He was silent for a moment, then said coldly, "Stop the car." Victor, in the driver's seat, immediately pulled over.
Serena seized her chance and reached for the door.
But Aaron's voice rang out, sharp and commanding from behind her.
"This show-you're doing it whether you want to or not."
