Chapter 35 Certainly.

There was a twhen Serena would have done anything to have Aaron in her bedroom, to feel his touch. She went to great lengths to catch his attention.

She wore alluring dresses, perfected her makeup to be mesmerizing, and even adopted a flirtatious way of speaking.

But every single time, Aaron would push her away without a second thought. During those days, Serena's self- confidence was shattered.

She drifted through life in a daze, forcing a smile whenever she was around Aaron.

Sensing something was off, Aaron wanted to say something, but Serena's bitter voice stopped him: "Yes, I was desperate before. But now I've woken up. I don't want to keep making a fool of myself. Is that so wrong?" When Aaron met her tear-filled eyes, a sharp pang hit his chest: "I didn't mean..." His brow furrowed suddenly.

His hand pressed against his abdomen.

The stabbing pain in his stomach turned his usually composed face a ghostly white.

His stomach condition was acting up again.

Serena saw it immediately.

After four years by Aaron's side, she knew all too well how he looked when he was unwell.

Yet, she coldly pushed his hand away and shut the door.

Curled up in agony, Aaron looked up at the closed door, feeling something within him crumble bit by bit.

Aaron was taken to the hospital by Frederick.

"Olivia mentioned you collapsed right outside Serena's bedroom," Frederick looked at Aaron's pale face and couldn't help but ask, "Couldn't you have knocked, called for Serena?" All these years, whenever Aaron's stomach acted up, it was always Serena who took care of him. Aaron's long eyelashes fluttered twice: "She watchedfall." Frederick jumped up: "What did you say?" Did he hear wrong? The girl who used to be in tears whenever Aaron was ill actually stood by, watching him collapse without helping? Aaron opened his eyes, which were usually deep and contemplative but now cold as ice: "She's changed." Frederick still couldn't believe it: "That can't be true. She loved you so much. Whenever your stomach acted up, she was always there, cooking for you, preparing your medicine. Her nourishing soups were praised even by the doctor for helping your condition." Aaron said nothing.

Frederick pursed his lips but couldn't keep his hands still.

He sent a message to Serena.

[Aaron's in the hospital with his stomach condition.] He included a picture of Aaron's pale face.

He refused to believe Serena's heart had turned to stone! Three hours later.

The sky began to lighten.

Frederick, seeing no response from Serena, guessed she was asleep.

He sent another message.

But was greeted with a large red exclamation mark.

!!! Serena had blocked him!!!

Frederick felt as if the ground had shifted beneath his feet) standing there in shock for a long time.

Last birthday, Aaron mentioned Serena had returned to Northspire to get married. But when he asked William, William said they hadn't registered the marriage.

He thought Serena was just playing hard to get.

But today!

He glanced at Aaron, who was lying in bed looking slightly better, anan thought about it, deciding not to mention anything. ...But Serena not loving Aaron anymore, how could that be possible? Frederick spent the entire afternoon trying to process it.

"What are you doing?" He was startled to see Aaron pulling out his IV.

"I'm checking out." "You're not well yet." "I'm checking out!" Frederick: ""
