Chapter 63 Alderburg.

When Serena woke up, it was already past ten.

She quickly grabbed her phone, only to see that there was no reply from William in the chat.

Her heart sank.

Of course.

Though she and William were on the brink of getting married, if it weren't for the engagement arranged by the Brooks and Grayson families, they would be nothing more than strangers.

Why would William help someone he barely knew? Dragging herself out of bed, she moved to the window and pulled back the curtains.

The scene outside stunned her.

Where there had been few security guards before, several bodyguards now stood alert at the entrance.

And every so often, they glanced up towards the second floor.

Serena headed downstairs and found Olivia in the kitchen.

"Why are there so many bodyguards outside all of a sudden?" she asked.

Recalling Aaron's instructions before he left, Olivia reluctantly replied, "Mr. Vance ordered them to stay and protect you." Protect? More like keep an eye on her.

Serena asked casually, "Where's Aaron?" "He's gone out." Serena's eyes flickered with thought.

After a moment of contemplation, she looked at Olivia and stated firmly, "I need to leave here." Olivia looked at Serena in confusion.

Serena continued, "I know you're working for Cynthia Lynwood." The garlic Olivia was holding slipped from her hands, scattering across the floor. She glanced at Serena, trying to deny it, but her tongue felt tied.

Seeing Olivia's reaction, Serena knew her suspicion was correct.

She had suspected for stthat Cynthia Lynwood had someone watching her. How else could Cynthia always call Aaron at the perfect moment? Olivia feigned innocence. "Miss Sullivan, I don't understand what you're saying." "Is it that you don't understand or are you just playing dumb?" Serena said quietly, gazing out at the bodyguards patrolling, "Cynthia toldabout Bella stealing the artifact, didn't she? To pushout of Alderburg?" Olivia's lips moved, but no words cout.

"Call her," Serena said. "She'll know how to getout of here." With that, Serena turned and went back upstairs, not waiting for Olivia to respond. Sure enough, by the afternoon, Olivia cup to see her again.

She pulled a plane ticket from her pocket and handed it to Serena. "Miss Lynwood arranged this ticket for you. Once you reach the airport, someone will be there to meet you." Without hesitation, Serena took it.

Olivia was surprised by Serena's resolve.

She found it hard to believe Serena truly wanted to leave Aaron, om especially after all she had done over the past seven years.

But remembering Cynthia Lynwood's instructions, Olivia added, "Once h head downstairs, I'll distract the guards. When that happens, you can slip out the back door." Serena nodded slightly, saying nothing.

Previously, Olivia's job was simply to watch Serena from afar.

This was the first tthey had interacted so directly, and Olivia felt uncomfortable. After a couple of awkward seconds, she went back downstairs.

Soon, Olivia's voice drifted up from below. "You've been standing here all morning, you must be tired. I've made ssoup, why not take a break and have a taste?" Serena watched from the window as Olivia carried a tray out to the lawn.

Gradually, the bodyguards started gathering around Olivia, taking cups of soup from her tray.

Only the two guards at the door remained in place.

Seeing this, Olivia headed towards them with the tray.

Serena didn't linger to watch. She quietly moved to the door, gentlyn e opening it, and crept outside.
