Chapter 250 Do You Want to Take Back What's Yours After arranging the hospital transfer for George, I followed the ambulance all the way to Wellness Hospital, making sure everything was settled before we finally left.

Now, sitting in a quiet café, Liliana looked noticeably uneasy.

I offered her a reassuring smile. "Relax. No one's here to hurt you." She didn't lower her guard. "What do you want from me?" I softened my voice. "The designer who entered the interior design competition under the nRosalind-that was you, wasn't it?" Liliana nodded. "Yeah, that was me. I saw that the top three winners would get prize money, and the entry was free, so I thought why not give it a shot? I studied design at university, after all. It's what I'm trained to do." I was a little surprised. "With your talent, you could be a full-tdesigner. Why are you working odd jobs just to make ends meet?" Liliana let out a weary sigh. "My dad got sick right after I graduated. Starting a career in design takes too much tand money. Working pays the bills faster. Besides, I didn't go to a prestigious university. Most design studios wouldn't even consider hiring me." I nodded, understanding her situation and quietly making my own decision. Then, bringing the conversation back on track, I said, "Since you entered the competition for the prize money... You must know the judges thought highly of your work." Liliana nodded. "Yes." "Then why did you drop out? Don't you need that money?" I asked, my tone full of genuine concern.

She let out a long sigh. "I do. But someone else doesn't wantto have it. It's that Elsa you mentioned earlier. She approachedand toldto withdraw... She gavefive thousand bucks in exchange. I knew the third place would get ten grand, but there was no guarantee I'd win, so I took the deal." I raised an eyebrow and pressed further. "And? Is that all?" Elsa had her hands on Liliana's designs. There had to be more to this deal.

Liliana hesitated for a moment before answering honestly, "She also bought two of my design drafts. It was included in the five grand." I let out a cold scoff.

Typical Elsa. She had practically bought off this woman's entire future for a measly five grand.

I tested the waters. "Do you know what she's using your designs for?" Liliana shook her head at first, then hesitated and said, "She must have her reasons. But since I already sold them, it's not my place to interfere." I could see the trace of bitterness on her face when she was talking.

I pressed on, "Did you want to sell them? Did you want to give up your designs?"

Liliana's lips curved into a bitter smile as she shook her head. "Of course not. Those designs are like my children. I wanted to enter the competition with them. Who would willingly sell their own children?"

She let out a long sigh before continuing, "But she said that if m didn't, I wouldn't be able to survive here. I have my father to think about. I couldn't afford to take that risk." She looked at me, anxiety flickering in her eyes. "She toldto disappear and keep this a secret. But now that I've told you... Will she cafter me?" Upon seeing the fear on her face, I shook my head. "No. She won't. She can't." At first, I thought this was just a case of plagiarism. But Elsa didn't just steal. She threatened people too.

If that was how she wanted to play, then I had no reason to hold back either.

Pulling out my laptop, I navigated to the competition's website and om showed Liliana the page. Efsa's nwas listed there, along with the design she had submitted -Liliana's design. "Do you want to take back what's rightfully yours?"
