Chapter 234 In the past, no one had ever associated Evelyn with drones.
However, even engineers of Quint's caliber were now actively praising her.
What was going on? Evelyn had only been at Flying Seal Group for a few short months.
Jason knew she was smart, but aerospace was not something that could be mastered through quick familiarity. Had Sebastian been intentionally teaching her the theoretical foundations of the field? Or was it something else entirely? "Jason?" Tiffany walked over and lightly tapped his shoulder. "Lucas and Mason are waiting over there. Let's go together." Jason's train of thought was abruptly interrupted. Then, he looked in the direction Tiffany pointed.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtLucas was on the phone, but when he sensed Jason's gaze, he turned to look back at Jason.
Meeting Lucas' eyes, Jason felt an unexplainable weight settle in his chest, leaving him with an odd sensation. Should he ask Lucas what was going on with Evelyn? As he pursed his lips, his thoughts rapidly spun as he walked in Lucas' direction. Another idea then pushed away the thought of questioning Lucas.
Before getting into the car, he took out his phone and messaged Fiona. "Did you miss Evelyn? Didn't you say she was great with drones? You're going to college next year. Do you want to meet up with her and ask for sadvice?" Elsewhere, Evelyn shared a car with Sebastian and Graham.
As soon as they got in, Graham was already engrossed in a doctoral thesis from the research institute.
Not wanting to disturb him, she sat quietly next to him.
She had not seen Sharron again. Maybe it was because Sharron was swamped with managing the hotel.
As for her divorce from Lucas, Evelyn did not know whether he had told Sharron. He had only mentioned keeping it from Maria, so she was not sure about Sharron.
When they had a secret marriage, no one knew that Lucas was married, save for his close friends and the Grant family.
It should be understandable if Sharron pretended not to know her in public. Still, the fact that she had not greeted Tiffany either made Evelyn curious.
In the front seat, Graham was halfway through the thesis when he saw Bill calling him on his phone.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmAs the military department and the research institute often coordinated, especially on military tech research projects, he answered the call.
Bill got straight to the point. "Graham, is today's work in Pearlia wrapped up?" Graham, calm as ever, replied, "You sure have your sources. What's up?" "You must've already received the directive." Bill chuckled heartily. "Our focus in the second half of the year is the sixth-generation fighter jet. I'm calling to ask whether you can assign a few talents to join the effort." Graham thought for a moment. "Shouldn't be a problem. We'll have the tonce this project has wrapped up." "What about that young woman who worked on the UN2 combat drone?" Bill asked, revealing his true intentions.
Graham's expression turned complicated. He glanced at Evelyn, who was currently chatting with Sebastian about the next stages of the Flying Seal Group's project. Then, he suddenly smiled. "If you already have someone in mind, why bother beating around the bush?" "You know how powerful the UN2 combat drone is in military combat," Bill responded bluntly. "We shouldn't let a genius like her go to waste." Geniuses like her were exactly what they needed! Graham snorted. "We'll see. I'll ask her on your behalf."
Bill hurriedly added, "You better take this seriously. Wouldn't you be proud if someone you trained contributed to national defense? Oh, and I'll send over a few photos of my son. Perhaps you can show the young lady while you're at it?" Graham was at a loss for words. That old geezer-trying to propose both the project and his son! Evelyn hadn't even considered his own son, so what was Bill up to?
With an icy expression, Graham hung up the phone and turned to Evelyn.
"Once the project at Flying Seal N Group is over, would you be interested in researching military aircraft next?" Evelyn raised her brow in response.
