Chapter 16 Investigating Tiffany's Identity Just as Tiffany showed up, Barry, as usual, ran straight into her arms.
Relieved that Leon hadn't taken her son, Tiffany hugged Barry tightly. "Sam, why were you in the bathroom for so long?" she asked.
"I had a stomachache," Barry mumbled, looking down and lying to Tiffany, feeling a bit awkward.
"Must've caught a chill last night," Tiffany said, hugging him even tighter with concern. In her arms, Barry felt a moment of peace and didn't want to let go.
A bit later, Tiffany took Barry back to the playground.
Flora had just finished tidying herself up, climbed out of the ball pit, and walked over to Tiffany.
"Mommy, two guys cby asking about the hypnotist and mentioned Mr. Cooper, but I didn't tell them anything about you," Flora said with a proud grin, waiting for Tiffany's praise.
Tiffany patted Flora's head, smiling. "Flora, you're amazing!" Her daughter had always been sharp.
But Tiffany found it odd. Why would Leon suddenly want to find her? Was he investigating her? Thinking about it, Tiffany quickly contacted Tess to look into it.
Barry was listening, a bit dazed. But his clever mind quickly pieced it together. His mommy had a secret identity, the person his dad was seeking, but they kept missing each other without realizing it.
News from Tess cfast; it turned out Leon had chronic insomnia. Only hypnosis could help him sleep through the night. Tiffany was the top hypnotist in the field, and they wanted the best to cure Leon's insomnia completely.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtUpon reading Tess's message, Tiffany couldn't help but smile, surprised by Leon's struggles. Insomnia? Sleepless nights? It was sad, but he totally deserved it! Tiffany put away her phone; she had no plans to reveal her identity to Leon.
Thinking back on her journey to becoming a hypnotist, Tiffany felt a pang of sadness. She beca hypnotist because taking care of two kids alone was so tough. They often got sick when they were little, and Tiffany learned medical knowledge to care for them, diving into psychology along the way. She was forced into it! Shaking off the painful memories, Tiffany pulled herself together.
"Sam, Flora, let's go watch a movie!" "Okay, Mommy!" The kids happily followed Tiffany to the cinema to get tickets for the latest film.
Barry sat in his seat, looking up at Tiffany. This was his first tin a cinema and watching a movie with Mommy. He felt so happy! But...
Barry bit his lip and gently tugged at Tiffany's sleeve.
"What's up, Sam?" Tiffany asked softly, turning to him.
"Mommy, can I ask you something?" Barry asked cautiously.
"Sure," Tiffany nodded.
She noticed Sam seemed a bit sensitive today, not as lively as usual, which worried her, so she spoke more gently.
"Mommy, do you love us?" Barry asked seriously, looking at her.
"Of course I do," Tiffany chuckled, ruffling his hair.

"Of course, I love him. He was kidnapped when he was little. I've been hunting for him forever, clueless about his whereabouts, his well-being, his meals, or if he's doing alright growing up." The more she talked, the more upset she got, her heart aching at the thought of her missing son.
Hearing Tiffany's words, Barry's heart raced. So, Mommy always loved him. Even after all these years apart, he still had a place in her heart.
Barry reached out and held Tiffany's finger. "Mommy, don't be sad! I believe my brother is thinking of you too." Tiffany felt comforted, smiled, and pinched Barry's cheek. "Do you miss your brother too?" "Yes," Barry nodded firmly, also to avoid raising any suspicion.
Tiffany hugged Barry with one arm and Flora with the other. She couldn't help but feel emotional. Now, only her second son was missing.

The three of them cozily watched the movie together and had a great time. When the movie ended, Tiffany took the kids out and bought each of them a cotton candy before heading home.
Meanwhile, Sam cout of the bathroom and was supposed to go back with Damon. But just as he was about to get in the car, he ran into Leon. So he had to ride back with him.
Leon sat next to Sam, looking a bit uneasy. Sam sensed the tension and occasionally sneaked a glance at Leon. His daddy was good-looking, but he left his mother. So, no matter his looks, Sam couldn't forgive him.

Sam blinked and obediently nodded.
He silently thought, actually, Daddy was quite easy to get along with when he wasn't angry. When they arrived at the Cooper Mansion, Leon went straight to the study.
Sam also quietly returned to his room and messaged Barry, saying everything was fine on his end.
In the study, Leon dialed his secretary's number again.
"How did you investigate? Didn't you say they were right there?" Leon asked impatiently.
"Mr. Cooper, we don't know what happened either. The informant told us the hypnotist was nearby, But ΝΟ When I sent someone over, they only saw a child." The secretary had no idea what went wrong. Leon rubbed his temples. "Forget it, keep looking, we must find the hypnotist." "Yes, Mr. Cooper." The secretary hung up the phone nervously.
Leon took out spills from the drawer and swallowed two.
