Chapter 50 Flora Gets Pushed Down After Ralph took off, Sam blinked up at her. "Mommy, that guy who just left, he likes you, right? He couldn't stop staring at you." Flora overheard and gasped, her eyes going wide.
Tiffany was caught off guard by Sam's observation and his teasing. But, thinking back, Ralph's behavior was pretty obvious.
She chuckled, reached out, and pinched Sam's cheek. "You're one sharp kid." Sam held his cheeks, his eyes turning into little crescents, and grinned at Tiffany. "Mommy, that guy is really handstoo." Sam knew everyone adored his mommy! And since Leon wasn't treating her right, why not find a new husband? Tiffany was taken aback by Sam's compliment about Ralph, but she still clarified, "Sam, Mommy and he are just friends." Sam tilted his head, thinking. He got that Tiffany wasn't into Ralph, so maybe he should still try to set her up with Leon.
Seeing Tiffany rub her shoulders, the kids knew she was tired. They led her to the living room, massaging her legs and shoulders, letting her relax for a bit.
Over at the Cooper Mansion, Barry was in bed, determined to fake being sick to keep Leon hand away from Bronte. He was going all out with this plan! He told Damon he felt unwell, and when Damon stepped out, Barry heated the thermometer and even used a hot towel on his forehead.
Damon had just gone downstairs to call Leon. Half an hour later, Barry heard quick footsteps outside and knew Leon was back.

Barry's eyes welled up, and he clutched Leon's sleeve, looking pitiful.
Leon glanced at Damon by the door, sounding a bit annoyed. "Why didn't you call a doctor?" "Mr. Cooper, Barry didn't want to. He said he wanted to wait for you," Damon explained.
Barry, not wanting Leon to blDamon, quickly nodded and coughed to get Leon's attention. "Daddy, it's not Damon's fault. I just missed you. I don't want to go to the hospital; I just want you here." Just then, Leon's phone rang. Barry saw "Bronte" on the screen and started coughing louder. Leon frowned, worried, and without thinking, hung up the call.
Barry clung to Leon, wanting him to stay, so Leon put aside his work and told Damon, "Get sfever medicine and make Barry soatmeal." "Yes, Mr. Cooper." Leon stayed with Barry, watching him take his medicine and eat his oatmeal. Bronte called several times, but Leon ignored his phone, focusing on comforting Barry to sleep.
Barry used his "illness" to keep Leon close until kindergarten started.
That morning, Barry woke up early, excited to pack his school bag and see Sam and Flora. But as he headed downstairs, he saw Leon at the bedroom door. He really wanted to go to school, but if he showed it too much, Leon might figure out he was faking his illness.
While Barry was trying to think of a way to convince Leon, Leon's phone rang. Without even looking, he knew it was Bronte.
Lately, Bronte had been calling Leon a lot. But every time, Leon ignored her calls, which made her pretty anxious.
Barry pouted. If he couldn't go to kindergarten, he definitely couldn't let Bronte meet Leon and talk about engagement plans! Just as Leon was about to answer the call, Barry threw himself into his arms, stopping him. Leon immediately held Barry, worried. "Are you feeling unwell again, Barry?" Since he was little, whenever Barry was sick, he liked to cling to Leon. Leon was always afraid Barry would feel insecure, so Barry always cfirst.
Barry looked up from Leon's arms, speaking softly, "Daddy, I'm tired. I want to lie down with you. Will you stay with me?" "Okay." Leon set his phone to silent mode, put it back in his pocket, and carried Barry back to the bedroom. Meanwhile, Tiffany had just dropped the kids off at kindergarten, waving at them with a smile as they walked into the school.

Tom soon got his chance. During lunch, everyone went upstairs to line up, and he saw Flora standing alone by the stairs. He had only one thought: he wanted to push Flora down the stairs! He walked over quickly, and under Flora's puzzled gaze, he pushed her hard.
Tom thought that by doing this, Flora would be scared of him and give him all her good stuff in the future. But he didn't realize how serious falling down the stairs could be.
Flora lost her balance, screamed, and fell, landing in a pool of blood, unconscious, with blood still flowing from the back of her head.
