Chapter 51 Flora Needs a Blood Transfusion When the teacher showed up, the place was a mess. Tom was bawling his eyes out after getting hit. The kids freaked out at the sight of blood and started screaming, while the teachers quickly called for an ambulance. Someone pulled Sam away and got in touch with Tiffany.
Half an hour later, Tiffany rushed into the hospital and froze when she saw Sam covered in blood. The teacher, Lily Penrose, was with him, and Flora was already in the emergency room. Sam was still crying and shaking.
"Sam," Tiffany called out.
Hearing her voice, all his fears and frustrations cflooding back. He bolted from Lily's side and threw himself into Tiffany's arms, sobbing so hard he could barely get the words out.
"Mommy... it's my fault... I didn't protect Flora... Mommy, what do we do... Flora's bleeding so much..." Sam stammered, his eyes puffy from crying.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtTiffany hugged Sam tightly, her heart aching as she tried to hold back her own tears. When she got Lily's call, she rushed to the hospital as fast as she could.
Tiffany comforted Sam and turned to Lily with a shaky voice, "Ms. Penrose, what happened to Flora?" "Ms. Grey, it's on us. We didn't keep a close enough eye on the kids. There are always little fights, but Tom pushing Flora down the stairs was a shock to us too." Lily looked guilty. It was just the start of the school year, and such a serious incident had already happened, making many parents worry. The principal was busy apologizing to every parent.
After hearing Lily's words, Tiffany's grip on Sam tightened. She knew Flora; she was always well-behaved and never caused trouble.
"Where are Tom's parents?" Tiffany asked coldly.
Mentioning Tom, Lily looked even more helpless. "We told Tom's parents, but they haven't responded." Tiffany's face turned cold, realizing Tom's family didn't want to bring him to admit his mistake! She wouldn't stand for this; those who hurt Flora had to pay! Just then, the emergency room door opened. The doctor walked out, looking anxious, and asked, "Who's Flora's family?" Tiffany quickly held Sam's hand and stepped forward, "Doctor, I'm Flora's mom." The doctor nodded and explained, "The patient is very young, and her body isn't as developed as an adult's. She has a severe head injury from the fall and has lost a lot of blood. She needs a blood transfusion before we can operate." The doctor paused, sighed, and continued, "We found that the patient has a rare Rh- negative blood type, and there's none in the blood bank. Are you Rh-negative?" Tiffany got even more flustered; she was O-type blood. The one with Rh-negative blood was Leon, and all three kids had inherited his blood type.
Tiffany was at a loss. If she asked Leon to donate blood to Flora, Flora's identity might be exposed, and Leon would find out Flora was his child.
But only Leon could save Flora now. Tiffany couldn't hesitate any longer; she decided to contact him.
Then, as if remembering something, she looked at the doctor and asked, "Doctor, can direct relatives donate blood directly?" "Generally speaking, no, but Rh-negative blood is a special case, so it's possible," the doctor said seriously. "Doctor, I'll contact Flora's father right now. He's Rh-negative. Please, save my daughter!" "Got it, but you need to get him here fast." After saying that, the doctor put his mask back on and went back into the emergency room.
Tiffany's hands shook as she pulled out her phone and stared at Leon's number on the screen. Finally, she dialed. The call was picked up quickly.
Tiffany's voice trembled, and she spoke with a hint of sobbing, her hand shaking as she held the phone. "Leon... can you cto the hospital?" "No time." Leon didn't know what was happening on Tiffany's end and hung up without hesitation.

Sam looked up at Tiffany, wiped his tears, and gently tugged at her clothes. "Mommy, don't cry. Flora will be okay. I'll call Barry and have him bring Daddy here." Tiffany nodded, squatted down, and hugged Sam tightly. If something really happened to Flora, she would lose it. Sam quickly called Barry, who answered immediately, his voice full of concern. "Sam, what's wrong?" Sam quickly explained Flora's situation, his tone urgent. "Barry, find a way to bring Daddy to the hospital. Flora's in danger, and we need Daddy to donate blood." Barry didn't hesitate. "Okay, I'll get Daddy right away. Tell Mommy not to worry!" After hanging up, Barry left his room and saw Leon reading documents in the living room.

Barry's voice broke his thoughts.
"Daddy, I don't feel well. Can we go to the hospital?" Barry stood on then second floor, Vooking unwell. Leon put down the documents and stared at the listless Barry, feeling worried. He quickly checked Barry's forehead for a fever.
"Daddy..." Barry coughed twice and collapsed into Leon's arms, looking very weak. Leon immediately picked him up, grabbed the car keys from the table, and rushed out. In the car, Barry leaned in the back seat and secretly messaged Sam: [Daddy is on his way!] Sam and Tiffany sat outside the emergency room, waiting for Leon.
"Daddy, over here!" They heard Barry's voice and looked up to see Barry and Leon.
Leon had noticed that Barry seemed to be faking his illness. Because as soon as Barry got out of the car, he was lively and insisted on bringing Leon to a specific place. Leon was about to ask Barry what was going oh when he saw Sam next to Tiffany. Leon felt his breath catch. What was going on? Why were there two "Barrys"? Tiffany held Sam tightly, her palms sweating, avoiding eye contact with Leon. Leon, ignoring Barry, quickened his pace and approached Tiffany. He stared at Sam, noticing the identical face to Barry's, and recalled Barry's recent personality changes. He realized that the lively "Barry" wasn't Barry at all! Leon felt a surge of anger. How much had Tiffany hidden from him? "Daddy, this is Sam, also your child. Can you help our sister now?" Barry pleaded, holding Leon's hand.
Leon looked serious. Where did this sister cfrom?
