Chapter 75 You Dare to Touch My People? "I believe you," Leon suddenly said, catching Tiffany off guard.
"What did you just say?" she asked, unsure if she heard him right.
"I said, I believe you. This kidnapping was definitely Bronte's doing." Leon was so confident because he had Hugo look into it before coming here, and they found out about Bronte's ties with the Larson Corporation. Plus, Ralph mentioned that after Miguel got the call, Damian went and kidnapped Tiffany.
Leon wasn't dumb; he could piece it all together.
Usually, he chose to overlook Bronte's transgressions, forgiving the person he had obsessed over for the past five years. However, this time, Bronte went too far, and Leon wouldn't indulge her blindly.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtTiffany was still in shock. She couldn't wrap her head around why Leon, knowing all the awful things Bronte had done, still wanted to get engaged to her just because he thought Bronte was the person from five years ago. Tiffany found it absurd. Such favoritism and partiality were so ridiculous. How could affection manifest in the form of Leon's current, inexplicable, partial behavior? Tiffany swallowed back the things she originally wanted to say. She would rather Leon never know that she was the person from five years ago.
"Leon, did you calone?" Tiffany heard footsteps outside and asked again.
"No, but they're still on the way; should be here in about ten minutes." Leon was always meticulous in his actions. Since he knew the kidnappers had brought Tiffany here, he wouldn't calone, as he wouldn't be a match for them. But Leon was worried about Tiffany's safety and wanted to scout the situation first, so he had chere ahead of his men.
Unexpectedly, when he walked into the large warehouse, he saw Tiffany on the side, leading to the events that just happened. But now they couldn't hide anymore. Damian and his men searched the surrounding warehouses but didn't find Tiffany. Now, only the one where Tiffany and Leon were hiding was left. He was sure Tiffany was here! Damian ordered his men to surround the warehouse, and they stood ready with their iron rods. Laughing, he leisurely walked in and said nonchalantly, "I advise you to cout yourself. I pity your pretty face and don't want my men to rough you up. If you cout obediently, you won't suffer. Just servewell, and I won't hold what happened earlier against you." Leon was already angry, and hearing Damian's words, his face darkened more, and his whole body exuded a menacing aura, even the air around him turned cold.
Damian sensed something was wrong and peeked over.
Realizing there was no longer any point in hiding, Tiffany and Leon stepped into the open. Leon positioned himself protectively in front of Tiffany, his eyes boring into Damian's with an unyielding intensity.
When Damian saw Leon's face clearly, he was so scared that he almost kneeled before Leon. "Mr... Mr. Cooper... long time... long tno see," he stammered, genuinely terrified.
Leon put his arm around Tiffany's shoulder, his words sharp. "Damian, you have snerve. You dare to touch my ex? Do you have a death wish?" Damian swallowed hard, shivering all over, and faced Leon with the utmost respect, his voice weakening. "Mr. Cooper, I wouldn't dare. I'm just doing a job for money! If I had known she was yours, I wouldn't have touched her." Beads of cold sweat glistened on Damian's forehead, which he hastily wiped with a trembling sleeve. The tension in the air was palpable.
However, one of Damian's men, unaware of Damian and Leon's history, attempted to play tough. "Damian, why are you scared of a guy who relies on women? We've got more people; let's just teach them a lesson!" Damian immediately slapped the guy beside him, leaving him stunned. "What do you know! The man in front of you is the president of the Cooper Group!" The thug, holding his stinging cheek, wore a look of confusion and dissatisfaction, since he hadn't paid attention to the big shots in the city. "Damian, who cares if he's a president? He's still just one person. What can he do to us?" Damian, hearing his subordinate, thought he had a point. Leon was alone now; no matter what, he couldn't handle all of them.
Emboldened by this, Damian's expression darkened, transforming from respectful servility to sinister resolve. "Mr. Cooper, it's quite desolate around here," he sneered. "What do you think will happen if you die here tonight?" Unbeknownst to Damian, Leon had already called the police before his arrival Damian's ignorance only fueled his arrogance. The old humiliations he had suffered at Leon's hands boiled to the surface, and he relished the thought of exacting personal revenge. Leon, however, was not one to cower. His extensive combat training made him more than a match for these street thugs. As the goons wielding iron rods charged at him, he deftly protected Tiffany, executing a flying kick that sent one of the attackers sprawling.
Damian had held back, waiting for an opportunity. Spotting an apparent opening as Leon grappled with his men, Damian's lips curled into a malevolent grin. He raised an iron rod, aiming for a vicious strike at Leon's unguarded back.
Tiffany saw this and shouted, "Leon! Watch out!" But Leon couldn't react in time.

"Tiffany!" The ntore from Leon's throat, his eyes flaring red with rage and desperation. He moved like a beast cornered, lashing out with a ferocity that sent Damian sprawling. Then, he went back to Tiffany, holding her tightly, his fingers trembling uncontrollably as he tried to assess the extent of her injuries.
Damian wanted his men to continue, but the wail of approaching police sirens paralyzed them all. Ralphland the police burst onto the scene, bringing swift order to the chaos. Damian and his thugs were quickly under control, their escape routes cut off. Seeing Damian and his men subdued, Leon coldly stared at Damian, hinting, "Take good care of this one."
Then, with unmatched tenderness, Leon lifted Tiffany and carried her to the ambulance. His s grip never m wavered as he climbed in beside her, his worry etched deeply into his features. Ralph, equally concerned, joined them, his eyes never leaving Tiffany's still form.
The ambulance sped towards the hospital. Both men sat in silence, their thoughts consumed by woffy for Tiffany upon arrival, the doctors whisked her into the emergency room, leaving Leon and Ralph to pace anxiously outside. An hour later, the emergency room door opened, and the doctor appeared. They immediately surrounded him, asking about Tiffany's condition.
"Doctor, how is she?" Leon's eyes were bloodshot, his voice hoarse, but his concern for Tiffany was evident.
"Don't worry, the patient is out of danger. She just needs to rest and will recover soon. Once the anesthesia wears off, she will wake up." Hearing the doctor's words, they both sighed in relief and followed the nurse to take Tiffany to a ward. Ralph wanted to go in too, but Leon stopped him at the door.
"Mr. Cooper, what do you mean?" Ralph frowned, his tone displeased.
Leon coldly glanced at him, questioning, "What right do you have to see Tiffany? Isn't it the Larson Corporation that caused her to be kidnapped?"
