Chapter 76 Is Daddy A Bad Person Too? Leon's words hit Ralph like a ton of bricks, leaving him speechless and unable to face Tiffany.
Leon shot Ralph a cold look and said, "If there's nothing else, you should go. And make sure to tell Miguel that the Cooper Group won't let this slide. Tiffany was under my protection, and she wasn't someone you can touch!" Ralph opened his mouth but couldn't find the words to retort. Then, Leon turned and walked into the hospital room, leaving Ralph standing there.
Feeling helpless, Ralph had no choice but to leave for now and find another chance to see Tiffany.
Inside the hospital room, Leon walked over to Tiffany's bedside and sat down. He stared at her pale face, feeling a dull ache in his chest. Images of Tiffany shielding him from that blow kept flashing through his mind. Leon's heart ached, but he couldn't figure out why.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtHe had so many questions. Why was Tiffany involved in the events from five years ago? Why did she take that nearly fatal blow for him? Why did she make him feel so uneasy? But he couldn't say a word; he just quietly stared at her, his brows furrowed and his eyes full of worry.
Leon reached out and grabbed Tiffany's hand, noticing how cold it was. He gently pulled up the fallen blanket, and then sat quietly beside her without disturbing her.
An hour later, the door to the hospital room creaked open. Three little heads peeked in, seeing Tiffany still unconscious. They immediately ran over, wanting to call out "Mommy," but Leon quickly put a finger to his lips, signaling them to be quiet.
The three kids nodded, closed their mouths, and obediently walked to Tiffany's side. Flora's eyes turned red, and tears started to fall. "Mommy," she whispered, not daring to be too loud for fear of waking Tiffany.
Leon felt a pang of heartache, reached out to rub Flora's head, and comforted her, "Mommy will be fine. She'll be okay when she wakes up." Sam clenched his small fists, full of anger, and looked up at Leon. "Daddy, who's trying to hurt Mommy?" Leon didn't know how to explain, so he sighed and touched Sam's face. "It's complicated and can't be explained easily, but trust that Daddy will handle it, okay?" Barry looked at Leon with a hint of doubt in his eyes and asked softly, "Daddy, did that woman hurt Mommy?" Leon was shocked. He didn't expect Barry to guess that the culprit was Bronte.
Seeing Leon not denying it, the three kids beceven angrier. Sam looked at Leon with a resentful gaze and spoke in a reproachful tone, "It's all because Daddy insisted on getting engaged to her! I don't like her! Now she wants to hurt Mommy! I hate her!" Flora wiped her tears, pouted, and looked at Leon with dissatisfaction. "Daddy, she hurt Mommy and put her in the hospital. She's a vicious woman. Mommy said bad people always stick together. Is Daddy a bad person too?" Barry looked up at Leon, his youthful eyes wide with innocence and confusion as he asked, "Daddy, why did you get engaged to her?" Leon felt a pang of guilt twist in his chest. For the past five years, that shadowy figure had haunted his dreams, silently urging him to make amends and take responsibility. He had thought getting engaged to Bronte would be a step toward resolving his past mistakes.
The kids' questions and accusations struck Leon deeply. Something had always felt off about Bronte. He couldn't be sure if she was the person he had longed for all those years ago. This uncertainty had kept him from giving Bronte a definite answer about the engagement party. But if it turned out that Bronte wasn't the person he had longed for, Leon knew he wouldn't let her off the hook.
Leon sighed heavily, squatting to meet the eyes of his three precious children. He gently stroked their heads and said, "Daddy's going to get to the bottom of this. But this time, it's Daddy's fault. I promise you, there won't be a next time, okay?" The kids looked at each other and finally nodded, choosing to believe Leon. They stayed by Tiffany's side, not leaving her for a moment.
Meanwhile, Bronte had just received the news. The fact that Leon had personally intervened to rescue Tiffany was a bitter pill to swallow. What made Tiffany so special? Why couldn't Leon see that she, Bronte, was the one for him? Fury boiled over. Bronte's rage erupted as she flipped a table, sending items crashing to the floor. She tore through her bedroom, shouting and screaming.
Now that Tiffany was unconscious from saving Leon, Leon would only feel guilty towards her. What would happen between them? Would Tiffany and Leon get back together? The more Bronte thought about it, the more panicked she became. She started nervously biting her nails, thinking about calling Miguel to see if he could cup with a plan for her.

Thinking of the outcome, Bronte's hands trembled uncontrollably. She threw her phone away and keptm cursing Tiffany! You should just die! Why don't you die? I should have asked Miguel to kill you! I won't let this go! Tiffany! Leon is my man! You can't have him!"
Her voice echoed through the room, trembling with unrestrained anger. Then the next second, her legs gave O way, and she collapsed to the ground, gasping for breath. Fear wrapped around her like a vice, tightening with every passing second. She hugged herself, as if trying to hold together the pieces of her unraveling sanity. No! She couldn't give up like this! Leon must still think she was that person from five years ago! Otherwise, his message would have been to break ties, not to ask for an explanation! Thinking of this, Bronte sighed, pulled herself together, quickly changed her clothes, and headed to the hospital.
But as soon as she reached the hospital room door, she was blocked by the three kids.
"Sam, Flora, Barry, what are you doing? I'm here to see Tiffany. Letin." Bronte forced a smile and tried to walk in.
Sam immediately reached out to block her, glaring at her fiercely. "You're not welchere, you bad woman you hurt Mommy and put her in the hospital! How dare you chere? I'm going to call the police and have them arrest you!" Hearing Sam's words, Bronte's smile instantly turned cold. She deeply hated these kids. If it weren't for trying to win Leon's favor, she would never have treated them kindly.
Just as Bronte was about to lose her temper, she saw Leon appear behind the three kids. So she quickly composed herself, put on a pitiful look, and forced out a few fake tears. "I'm sorry..."
